Project Profiles
REPRESENTATIVE CHEMICAL PROCESS ENERGY PROJECT PROFILES
ALABAMA STATE BUILDING ENERGY CODE, BUILDING ENERGY AUDITS AND WORKSHOPS
CCC was selected to assist the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the captioned project for the State of Alabama. Together with UAB CCC provided year long Energy Auditing, Program Development and 2004 Building Energy Code Launch Presentation for the State of Alabama.
CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING ENERGY AUDITS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Selected as chemical process energy reduction team lead on 10 energy audits in a City of Chicago sponsored initiative to assist Chicago businesses in reducing energy costs. CCC provided chemical and manufacturing expertise to find workable process oriented energy solutions to chemical, food, plastics, electronics, pharmaceutical, candy and paint manufacturers. Project included complete process review and recommendations involving all manufacturing phases from production and packaging to transportation.
RUSSIAN SYN-DRUGS PLANT USAID - DESIGN FOR ENVIRONMENT
Meetings in Chicago with 20-person Russian team included presentation and description of US EPA and OSHA system as pertains to chemical processing plants as well as demonstration of City of Chicago Fire Department Emergency Response Unit. Provided conceptual process environmental designs for $500 million multi-drug processing plant. Zero discharge design requirement included solvent recovery, waste water stripping and recovery utilizing full energy optimization via mechanical vapor recovery evaporators, plantwide vent recovery, and environmental control systems.
LUBE OIL RE-REFINERY DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
Provided used oil collection company technical engineering services in designing, specifying, procuring equipment and construction of 20,000 gallons per day (GPD) Lube Oil Re-Refining Operation. Used oil can be an important source of energy often overlooked.
CHEMICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM AND PROCESS EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS
Assisted numerous clients in selecting and purchasing new and used process equipment, e.g., heat exchangers, dryers, stills, evaporators, mixers, reactors, mechanical conveyors. See purchasing/procurement for more information. |
