CCC 2007 Project Highlights
CCC continues to assist in renewable resource development, forensic engineering, environmentally challenged real estate property transfer, litigation support and chemical process engineering as demonstrated in the following excerpts from 2007. At the heart of all is a focus on chemical process engineering with regards to competent environment, safety and occupational health compliance.

Environmental Due Diligence Compliance Review - assist national sign company in business acquisition evaluation of OSHA and EPA regulatory reporting requirements.

Used Tire Recycling Facility Process Upgrade Review - All aspects of process evaluation and upgrade for major recycling operation focused on waste to energy and resource recovery. Proposed technical upgrades to improve operations.

Environmentally Distressed Commercial Property Transaction Support - Evaluated cleanup requirements and developed cost effective remediation approach on behalf of seller. Worked with attorney to develop approach acceptable to both sides. On going project scheduled to commence remedial action in 2008.

Chemical Process Design - Designed dissolved metals recovery process for international recyclers of automobile scrap metal. Specified and subcontracted successful bench scale pilot tests to support full-scale operations. Support also included client interaction and creation of process flow diagram and accompanying excel spreadsheet to account for feed and product material variations for ultimate use in what-if scenarios and automated process control module.

Forensic Engineering Process Failure - Pre litigation commencement review of failed chemical process. Evaluated chemical process package equipment performance and contract requirements on behalf of owner. Equipment has failed to perform and litigation between parties is likely for early 2008. CCC will work to assist parties in working towards amicable settlement between the two parties.

Litigation Support for Plaintiff - Legal support in civil litigation case related to past federal criminal activities also supported by CCC. - Client: National technical organization legal counsel

Environmental Illinois EPA Water Pollution Control Construction Permit - CCC designed waste water testing method and compliance demonstration approach, and assist client in compliance with IEPA. Resulted in accelerated construction permit for this national paint and coatings company.

Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to Energy Front End Engineering Upgrade Review - Assist investors in evaluating and equipment and process upgrades necessary to fix municipal waste to energy process. Provided clients with overall scope and approach and cost and schedule to complete. Project in Philadelphia area.

OUR MANAGEMENT APPROACH
CCC treats its client's challenges as if they were its own and draws out the best from the project team (client, CCC, vendors, regulators, etc.) to achieve successful projects. Building quality teams is especially important when interacting with regulators and public on environmental projects.
